Kluane Energy LP conducted renovation and construction works leading to a 1,200 sq feet expansion of the community Store & Café.
The works increased the building surface to allow larger storing and display room and enlarged the existing space outwards. Adding decking, a sunroof and windbreakers created an ideal space for customer dining and repose, a space intended for socialization where locals and tourists alike can enjoy a meal or snack in a cozy environment.
This project was only possible thanks to the support of Kluane First Nation and two Yukon Government funding programs:
The Community Development Fund supported Kluane Energy LP to develop in late 2022 architectural design drafting and civil design works for the potential addition
The Community Tourism Destination Development Fund provided financial support for the construction.
